A quaterly magazine that supports people who are living with grief, with articles written by the bereaved and by professionals in the field. Sample issues available at the website online.
From the description:
Articles, stories and poems are written and submitted by the bereaved for the bereaved and are professionally edited for publication. Ten professionals eminent in the field of grief intervention also contribute in each issue.
Living With Loss Magazine was founded in 1987 by Andrea Gambill after more than ten years of support group leadership and grief counseling. The birth of the magazine was the result of Andrea's conviction that:
* The bereaved could benefit from additional support covering a broad range of grief concerns.
* The community of helping professionals would appreciate direct feedback from the bereaved.
* The non-bereaved would become more informed about what helps and what hurts.
The stories, articles and poems in the magazine come from the bereaved themselves. The grief-stricken have both stories to tell and a need to know the stories of others.
There are also regular departments in the magazine written by professionals who are eminent in the field of grief intervention. Their articles address physical and mental health issues, the psychology of mourning, ecumenical faith and cross-cultural perspectives, the grief of children, and even humor - just to name a few.
