In looking at the NHPCO website you will see that it is a dynamic organization with a terrific website. It has a vision to engage the findings of a study conducted 3 years ago which showed "with respect to population aging and health, death rates, health care settings and staffing, and family caregiving...a growing need for hospice and palliative care services." Their dynamic mission is to "lead and mobilize social change for improved care at the end of life." They sponsor several conferences each year: for general membership, for leadership and administrative, and for spiritual caregiving. The website has numerous resources and features, the "find a provider" being especially useful. If you don't yet know about the NHPCO and are involved some way in end of life care, you are in for a great discovery.
